Hi Dean
I know how you feel - I am totally overwhelmed when I log onto the discussion group - time is really my enemy! I teach in an International School here in Kuala Lumpur - the days are long ( usually 7am- 5pm) then home with my kids.
Like you, teaching is my second career. I took up teaching 10 years ago, and completed my BFET and now my M.Ed. with USQ - you won;t regret your decision. The discussion group is a fantastic forum to share ideas/ musings and strategies.
Enjoy the course - you are doing a great job.
Cheers
Bron
Hi Bronwen
Thanks for the encouragement. Good on you for continuing with your studies onto Masters, i don't know how you do it. Doing this course as an undergraduate, i have found it quite difficult to contribute on the different issues without the relevant teaching experience. Anyway will keep plugging away at it and see how i go. All the best for the remainder of this course and your studies.

Hi Dean
Just replied to your post on the USQ discussion forum and also thought I'd find out more about you and post something here!
I was surprised to find out you haven't got any teaching experience - you certainly sound like you have and I’m sure you’ll make a great teacher! Is this your final year? My dad always says, “most people have 2 major careers in their lives” and this sounds like yours. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do…
From what I’ve read of other people’s blogs, finding time is a huge factor when doing this course and contributing to and reading the forums seems to take up a lot of my time. I’m glad I’m not the only one to feel this way!
Anyway, better get some shut eye…
